She is the Principal of Information Management Services, Inc., a consulting firm whose mission is to help organizations make smart investments in information products and services. With rapid changes occurring in every business, it is critical for management to keep a finger on the pulse of questions that need to be answered in order for people to work productively and simultaneously provide access to authoritative resources in which to find answers to those questions. Jan has teamed with Library Associates Companies to manage information needs assessment projects, conduct benchmarking studies and provide recommendations on content resources to meet particular business applications. Prior to establishing her consulting firm in 1997, Jan served as Senior Director of Client Services Consulting for Knight-Ridder Information, Inc. (formerly Dialog Information Services). In that role, she managed account development and instructional development activities. Before that, Jan was Director of the Midwest sales office for Knight-Ridder Information. Jan holds a BS from the University of Wisconsin and an MA from Middlebury College. |
