Keith Gurtzweiler

In 2008, Mr. Gurtzweiler directed two concurrent executive searches for key positions at the County of Los Angeles Public Library, one overseeing public services for the county library and the other in technical services. Mr. Gurtzweiler was one of two principal recruiters who oversaw the search project and consultation to the Board of Trustees for the search of Cleveland Public Library’s new Director, who began his role in January 2009. Mr. Gurtzweiler has conducted extensive outreach activities for executive-level recruitments, communicating with library directors and senior staff nationwide in our effort to attract, identify, and retain top talent. Additionally, Mr. Gurtzweiler recruits to fill regular employee positions at LAC, both internal corporate staff and client-assigned staff, and on behalf of clients for their regular and contract positions. His recruiting experience spans public and private organizations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and many industries and fields including legal and professional services firms, pharmaceutical and medical, energy and natural resources firms, new and traditional media companies, content providers and aggregators, investment and financial institutions and more. He graduated from New York University in 2000 with a Master of Arts degree in social sciences and previously from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in French and art history. In 2002, he received certification in employment law from the American Staffing Association. |
