Ms. Pollack is a results-oriented facilitator with cost-effective solutions. Ms. Pollack works closely with non-profit organization staff, library staff and trustees to help them identify their preferred future. A goal of her method is improving individual and organizational effectiveness and partnering within and outside of the organization. She designs and develops powerful solutions to library issues ranging from comprehensive staff development analysis to return-on-investment or impact studies of library services and expenditures. With her experience and expertise she has successfully matched the requirements of her clients with strong library leaders. As Assistant Director and public library consultant at the North Suburban Library System she regularly assisted public library boards in hiring new directors, providing information, recommendations and advice. She has also worked with professionals in the field and "seen them in action." Miriam's extensive array of contacts in the field enables her to identify potential candidates and find contacts that are not necessarily on a candidate's reference list. Her extensive experience with a range of public libraries enables her to recognize the "right fit" — the right person for a specific library. Ms. Pollack has a BA in Education from the University of Illinois Chicago, an MA in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an MA in Human Resource Development from Northeastern Illinois University. |
