Omar E. Akchurin was, until recently, LAC's Vice President of Client Services and had corporate oversight of contracts assuring delivery of services, and quality assurance. He is based in our Rockville, MD, office and focused on managing customer relations, executing contracts, consulting, and technical support. He supervised a team of professional librarians, and support staff providing a range of services including, reference, outreach programs, training, cataloging, acquisitions, interlibrary loan, library management, as well as other functions.

He has over 25 years of professional library experience covering public, academic, corporate, association, and government libraries. He has been responsible for two major Cabinet Level Libraries and a national trade association's information center. He is active in the American Society for Information Science and Technology having served as the Chair of the Potomac Valley Chapter. He has also chaired the Information Technology Group of the Washington DC Chapter of the Special Libraries Association.

He received his BS from Temple University, a professional bachelors degree (BFT) from Thunderbird, the Garvin School of International Management, and a MLS from Long Island University.
